cycling4cycling4cycling4Dear Parents and Carers

As you already know the Tour De France is visiting Yorkshire in July and to help celebrate this, the Winterhill Youth Hub have organised a family roadshow of cycling and healthy living.

All the schools in the learning community have used their enterprise skills to arrange this unique event.

We would like to invite students and their families on Thursday, 26th June. Students may attend this event after school but families are welcome from 2:00pm until 4:30pm.

Activities include: Displays from the current world BMX Champion, race against time on a virtual veladrome, have the opportunity to ride a variety of bikes including electric, hybrid, road, mountain and folding.  Bring along your own bike and attend the free bike repair shop run by J E James Cycles.

Stalls include, a variety a health and fitness related exhibits ranging from local gyms, leisure complexes, weight management, to information on local cycle routes, bike hire and cycle proficiency.

Information will be available on local cycle routes, bike hire and cycle to work schemes.

The event will take place at the Sports Hall located on Little Common Lane, next to the BMX track.  Parking can be an issue and we ask you do not park on Little Common Lane due to access being required for Abbey School.

We look forward to seeing you on this fun family afternoon.
