Book Vouchers.

Your child will be bringing home a £1 book voucher today which is valid from 27th February until 26th March. This can be used to buy a £1 book – these are available in many book shops such as WH Smith; or it can be used towards a more expensive book.

School reading.

Reading is a life skill. If your child reads regularly they will generally find their school work easier. When your child has read please sign their reading record:

When the children have read 10 times in Foundation and Key Stage 1 (infants) they are rewarded by visiting Mrs Benton’s treasure box. When they have read 100 pages in Key Stage 2 (juniors) they receive a bronze certificate. When they have read a further 200 pages they receive a silver certificate. When they have read a further 300 pages they receive a gold certificate and a £5 voucher. To date 53 children have received a bronze award, 22 children have received a silver award, and 4 children have received their gold award.
