Screen Shot 2016-03-16 at 09.40.01On Wednesday 9th March, a team of Year 3/4 children represented our school at the South Yorkshire basketball finals at the fabulous EIS.  The boys represented us in the first half with the girls picking up the reins in the second.

Game 1 was a close affair as we came from behind to snatch victory.

A similar story in Game 2 as the girls snatched victory in the last minute.

A slow start in Game 3 meant we were edged out, suffering our first defeat.

Unfortunately, in Game 4 we were beaten by the eventual winners of the tournament.

Overall, Won 2, Lost 2

Throughout each game we were extremely competitive, well done to all those involved in such a fantastic achievement, reaching the SOUTH YORKSHIRE FINALS in the first place.

As well as basketball, the children tried canoeing (on a machine of course) – well done to Blossom for finishing first.  The children also had a go at some other basketball, skipping, hula hooping and table tennis challenges.  They also enjoyed meeting the panda mascot too.
