The Y3/4 football team entered a tournament on 16.03.16 run by RUFC. Seven schools entered the tournament with Thornhill playing three of those schools.
Game 1 – a comfortable 3-0 victory thanks to an early goal to settle us down. We dominated the game from start to finish and were unlucky not to score more.
Game 2 – an unlucky 2-0 defeat. A defensive error allowed the opposition to sneak in front which led to a fairly even game. A few more missed chances followed with the opposition securing victory right at the death.
Game 3 – an evenly matched 1-1 draw. Although falling behind again, the boys responded brilliantly. During the game, we struggled to find the breakthrough with goalmouth scrambles galore. Eventually, we got the equaliser and although they missed a penalty, we missed a golden chance to secure victory with the last kick of the game.
Well done to all the players for an enjoyable tournament, let’s practise our SHOOTING!
