The Y6 children attended ‘Crucial Crew’ yesterday. It was an important day where they took part in 8 different scenarios to ensure they are able to keep themselves safe as they start to become more independent – it won’t be long before they are starting the next phase of their education! First aiders taught them how to deal with an unconscious person. They were also reminded about road safety. They were also taught about the fact they are now classed in law as ‘responsible for their own actions’. Police and Fire services taught them about fire safety and possible consequences of breaking the law eg by carrying knives or making hoax calls.
An excellent learning opportunity for all!
