Year 3 and 4 visited Royal Armouries in Leeds where they enjoyed finding out about Saxons and Vikings. One of the highlights of the day was using Viking shields to make shield walls and trying to squash the teachers between them. However, the teachers got revenge by throwing wet sponges at the children while they tried to protect themselves with their shields. The children also made their own swords, watched warriors battle and saw thousands of weapons and armoury. All in all, a very exciting day!
