This week we have welcomed back into school some of our children from Foundation, Year 1 and Year 6. It has been lovely to see them and we still miss the rest of you. The school now has a one way system outside to ensure we are abiding by social distancing. Children are in a ‘bubble’ which they stay in all day and wash their hands at regular intervals.
Home school learning.
Well done to all those pupils who are managing to keep up with their learning at home. More Home / School Learning Packs have been prepared and are available for you to come and collect between 12 o’ clock and 1 o’clock from the school hall. There are also websites on the school website for your child to go on to further their learning. We are still offering benefits related Free School Meals Grab-a-bags which can also be collected from the school hall between 12 o’clock and 1 o’clock.
At the start of the year we wrote to you about an INSET day on Monday 6th July. We have been advised by the Local Authority that we still need to have this day which means the school will be closed to all pupils.
Transition to secondary education.
Due to the current and unprecedented circumstances this year we are not sure what arrangements the comprehensive schools are putting in place to help our Year 6s move onto the next phase of their education. They are in contact with us and as soon as we know their plans we will let you know.
