Art

A knowledge rich Art and Design curriculum at Thornhill will allow children to develop their art, craft and design skills through their individual creativity. We aim to engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to inspire them to experiment and create their own works of art. As pupils progress, they will be given the opportunity to think critically and develop a more precise understanding of art and design. They will explore art from around the world and study significant artists from different eras. This will develop their knowledge further of how art and design both reflect and shape our history, and contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
